Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026 · Effective date: April 21, 2026
30Recordr is designed so recordings stay on your Mac unless you explicitly save a clip. There are no accounts, analytics, remote servers, or third-party tracking systems involved in the app.
Summary (Plain Language)
30Recordr does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, sell, share, rent, or analyze any personal data. All video and audio captured by the app stays on your Mac, in memory, and is discarded unless you explicitly choose to save a clip to disk.
There are no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs. The app requires no internet connection to operate.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the 30Recordr macOS application distributed through the Mac App Store. It does not apply to any third-party services, websites, or applications that you may use in connection with files produced by the app.
Nguyen Duc Minh is an individual developer based in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
30Recordr does not collect any of the following:
- Personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Account credentials or login information, because the app has no accounts
- Device identifiers such as IDFA, IDFV, MAC address, serial number, or advertising ID
- Usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or diagnostic data
- Location data of any kind
- Contacts, calendars, photos, microphone input, camera input, or files outside those you explicitly save
- Advertising, marketing, or attribution data
- Any data transmitted to our servers or to any third-party server
The Developer does not operate any backend infrastructure or database in connection with the app. The app has no network-based data transmission feature.
3. How The App Processes Screen And Audio Data
30Recordr is a screen recording application that continuously buffers a short window of your Mac's display output, and optional system audio, in the volatile memory of your Mac.
- The buffer is held exclusively in volatile memory on your device.
- The buffer is continuously overwritten as new frames and audio samples arrive.
- The buffer is discarded automatically when you stop recording, quit the app, or shut down your Mac.
- No part of the buffer is written to disk, transmitted over a network, or shared with any process outside the app.
- A file is written to disk only when you explicitly click Save and select a destination using the standard macOS save dialog.
You control when recording is active, what your screen displays during that time, and whether any portion of the buffer is saved to disk.
4. Permissions Requested
30Recordr requires the following macOS permission:
- Screen Recording: granted through System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording. This permission is required by macOS for any application that captures display content. The app uses this permission solely for the recording functionality described above.
Optional system audio capture uses the audio pathway provided by Apple's ScreenCaptureKit framework and does not require a separate microphone permission. The app does not request access to contacts, calendars, photos, location, reminders, the microphone, the camera, or any other protected resource.
5. Sandboxing And System Integrity
30Recordr is distributed through the Mac App Store and is built with:
- Apple's App Sandbox, which restricts the app's access to files and system resources
- Apple's Hardened Runtime, which protects against runtime code tampering
Saved video files are written only to locations you explicitly choose through the macOS save panel.
6. Local File Storage
When you choose to save a clip, 30Recordr writes a single MP4 file to the location you select. The file is stored under your control on your local device, an external drive, or any iCloud or network destination you choose.
30Recordr does not index, track, upload, or otherwise process these files after they are written. You may delete saved files at any time using Finder or any tool of your choice.
7. Third-Party Services
30Recordr does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, attribution, or telemetry SDK. The app has no embedded third-party code that collects or transmits user data.
The app is distributed through the Mac App Store, which is operated by Apple Inc. Apple may collect certain data related to app downloads, purchases, and aggregate usage as described in Apple's own privacy policies. That collection is performed by Apple, not by the Developer, and is governed by Apple's terms, not by this Privacy Policy.
8. International Users And Applicable Privacy Laws
The Developer is based in Vietnam. Because 30Recordr does not collect, process, or transmit any personal data, no cross-border data transfer occurs in connection with use of the app.
- European users (GDPR): because we do not collect personal data, no personal data is processed within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. You nonetheless retain the right to contact the Developer at any time using the contact details in Section 12.

9. Children's Privacy

If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we may investigate.
10. Security
Because the app does not collect, transmit, or store user data on remote systems, there is no server-side attack surface that could expose personal information. On-device security is provided by macOS through App Sandbox, Hardened Runtime, and the file-system permissions controlled by you and the operating system.
11. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or to applicable legal requirements. The Last updated date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision.
Material changes will be communicated through the App Store listing and, where appropriate, within the app itself. Your continued use of the app after the effective date of an update constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy.
